INTRODUCE YOURSELF

My name is Qingyuan, I am 22 years old, I am Chinese and I am currently doing my end-of-study internship at Fnac Darty as a business developer assistant in order to validate my MBA in Commerce and Marketing at ICD Business School, Paris. I was a national rhythmic gymnastics athlete for 10 years, as well as a teacher and a great Yoga enthusiast. I was also president of the association of international cooperation and exchange volunteers at my university, where I organized the opening ceremonies of international cultural festivals. I also managed the international student football team and took part in several trilingual events and cultural galas at my university.

WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND? WHY DID YOU CHOOSE PARIS FOR YOUR HIGHER STUDIES?

To begin, I will present you my academic background, which consists of 2 diplomas and an academic exchange. My first degree is a bachelor's degree in French language and Sino-French commerce at Chongqing University of Technology and Commerce, which is equivalent to a Bac+4. During my 3rd year, I did an academic exchange at the University Lumière Lyon 2. On my return to China and during my 4th year of the bachelor's degree, I applied for the MBA Commerce and Marketing at the ICD Business School Paris. I am currently doing an end-of-studies internship at Fnac-Darty.

In terms of my professional experiences, I have completed 3 internships so far. A first internship as an internal communication manager, a second internship as a marketing and digital communication manager. For my first professional experience in France, I did my end-of-studies internship as an Asian business developer assistant at Fnac-Darty.

Paris has been on the one hand, the destination of my dreams since I was little and on the other hand the capital of love and also declared the best city for students. Indeed, it is described as a city with a lot of academic resources and a lively nightlife. It is an educational and cultural center for students from all over the world. In addition, France is the fourth study destination in the world with 12% of foreign students. There is a unique cultural dynamic on Parisian campuses. It brings together an exceptional heritage and a dynamic cultural life. Indeed, its heritage consists of 41 cultural sites classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. France and Paris both offer a privileged student life with free or reduced pricing access to visits and other touristic sites.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE ICD BUSINESS SCHOOL'S COMMERCE AND MARKETING MBA?

I got to know the ICD Business School through a professor in the International Relations Department of my University (University of Technology and Commerce in Chongqing). Subsequently, I went to consult the school's website on which I discovered the MBA Commerce and Marketing. The richness of the program (various course modules, company visits, group work, etc.) and its openness to the international world attracted me a lot. The latter is also a continuation of my previous studies.

THE END OF YOUR STUDIES IS APPROACHING, WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?

At the end of my studies, I plan to continue my studies and enroll in a BAC + 6 program in digital marketing, with a work-study program, if possible. This will allow me to consolidate my professional experience in France. Later, I would like to take up a position in the luxury sector in connection with fashion.

DO YOU HAVE AN ANECDOTE OR A MEMORY YOU'D LIKE TO SHARE?

One day, during Business in Europe week, we visited the Auchan warehouse, where I learned about the transport of supermarket merchandise flows. I had never seen a supermarket logistics warehouse before. When we entered the warehouse elevator, this elevator could directly accommodate more than twenty people, with extra room, so I thought it was quite impressive!
