A large number of companies, associations and private individuals need to organise a wide range of different events. However, planning, organising and running an event requires some very specific skills, for which ICD’s Bachelors in Events Management will prepare you.

ICD CONTRIBUTES TO THE ORGANISATION OF BEFORE WORK EVENTS
These recruitment events are organised by Unimev and attract more than 50 potential employers of work placement students, work-study students and graduates.
JOB-DATING
In collaboration with our closest partners, ICD organises several job-dating events throughout the year targeting specific sectors of activity. These events aim to support students in looking for business placements in France and overseas. The Business Engagement team provides individual support to each one of our students.
THE ALUMNI NETWORK
Since its creation more than 40 years ago, Groupe IGS has been able to build up a network of 67,000 alumni. Fully aware of the value of this major professional network, ICD’s alumni are regular and active users of the www.icd-alumni.com platform, which allows them to make connections, share information, exchange with peers and develop their professional network.
ICD NETWORK
The ICD network provides a variety of services specifically for our Alumni, running social network groups, organising occupation-specific meetings and afterwork evening events, etc. Our former students are actively involved in school life, giving their time freely to participate in admissions panels, dissertation examinations, the national ‘Négociales’ negotiation competition, conferences, case studies, tournaments, supervising business placement and work-study students, or contributing to the work of the Professional Advisory Board.

THE EVENTS MANAGEMENT SECTOR
Exhibitions, fairs & conferences
An exhibition is an event that groups together exhibitors in the same venue. Visitors can therefore discover a range of participants on the same theme, service or family of products. Certain exhibitions are open only to professionals and others are general public events. Events management is a major area of activity, with nearly 4,000 events organised in France each year representing 7.5 billion euros in turnover and 120,000 jobs. Examples of specialist jobs in the sector include:
- Exhibition sales manager
- Exhibition logistics manager
- Exhibition designer
Agencies
Events agencies are generally integrated into communications agencies. They develop what are called 360-degree solutions, their mission being to create the most comprehensive communications plan possible to share information with a specific target public. Events agencies design and run events on behalf of companies (advertisers) or des événements dits propriétaires. Types of events organised include product launches, conventions... The activity has an annual turnover of almost 7 billion euros for 14,000 companies. Examples of jobs include:

Event venues
Venues are indispensable to the success of an event. They provide the guarantee of an excellent event experience and the security of the participants. Venues need to reinvent themselves continually and also equip themselves according to the latest innovations and regulatory requirements. They have a major role to play in the organisation of events by providing 3 main types of service: the rental of event space, technical support and the organisation of événements propriétaires. Types of venue include stadiums, concert halls or congress centres. Examples of jobs include:

Advertiser / Organiser
The advertiser is a company that communicates with its public via an events strategy. The advertiser enlists the help of specialist operators who design and deliver the most effective communications plan possible. In France, the overall financial investment of advertisers is nearly 30 billion euros per year, of which a part is devoted to events. Examples of specialist jobs include:
