Careers Guidance

One of the key objectives at ICD is to ensure that our students are given a high level of support throughout their course right up until they find work in the job market. The business school has designed a practice-based curriculum for each of its courses that enables our students and graduates to find suitable employment very quickly.

COURSES DESIGNED ABOVE ALL FOR THE EMPLOYABILITY OF OUR GRADUATES

ICD has designed a portfolio of courses to train future professionals who are immediately operational in the sales, marketing and business development professions.  From our undergraduate Bachelors-level courses for high school leavers to the Masters-level Grande Ecole Programme, at ICD we are fully committed to developing the talent of each one of our students.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

THE PASSPORT TO EMPLOYMENT

Because ICD understands that the international dimension of the student learning experience is the driving force behind its courses, the school has put this at the centre of its programme portfolio.  By encouraging our students to ‘go global’, they are able to offer their future employers the added value of internationally mobile talent and able to successfully operate in an intercultural business environment.

INDIVIDUAL STUDENT SUPPORT

At ICD, each student is able to find both their true place in the school and the programme of study that meets their career ambitions.

Students benefit from individual supervision during their course and once they have graduated in order to offer them the support and guidance needed to find employment in line with their career project.
In addition, ICD (Groupe IGS) provide students with a set of tools to help them find housing and to assist with other aspects of student life.

THE BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

The business engagement department provides students with support in managing their career project.  In close collaboration with employers, the team works to ensures that our students’ future professional lives match with their ambitions and skills.

COACHING WORKSHOPS

Workshops enable students to develop job hunting skills and to fine tune interview techniques that will ensure they are able to promote their skills and experience in order to convince employers.

RECRUITMENT FAIRS

Each year, ICD organises full-day events on campus attended by more than 150 partner companies looking to access our emerging graduate talent.  These job dating events allow students to develop their professional network and makes it easy for employers to identify and recruit the most promising talent.

WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENTS & APPRENTICESHIPS

The work experience gained during your programme of study will allow you to enhance your skills to put you at a distinct advantage when applying for future employment.

Indeed, one of the main benefits of studying business at ICD is the focus we put on offering our students a practice-based curriculum.

ICD BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT DEPARTMENT: OUR VOCATION IS TO BUILD BRIDGES

"Our team helps students develop their career plan and puts them in touch with our partners through employer events or upon individual request.  We’re able to rely upon the support of an extremely active alumni network, some very involved parents and a team of committed placement supervisors.  To help link up students with employers, we’re also fortunate to benefit from Groupe IGS’ invaluable list of HR contacts.  We work closely with the teaching team to make sure that business is at the heart of our curriculum on each course.  Our office is always open and the team available and attentive to the needs of students and graduates”.
