Each student at ICD chooses a destination on one of the continents of their choice. Prior to leaving on an international student exchange programme, you’ll benefit from customized support provided by our team of experts in the international department.
During your period away, you’ll stay connected with us via regular points of contact with our teaching team. And upon your return, we’ll invite you to a full debriefing session on your experience abroad organised by the Academic Office.
Study abroad semesters are an integral part of the course and can be carried out at any one of ICD’s 80 international university partners located across the globe. These exciting learning opportunities offer students a first-hand experience of what going international is all about.

A study abroad experience offers you the opportunity to discover new learning approaches and to understand the culture of your host country whilst improving your foreign language communication skills. The wide choice of foreign university destinations on offer means that whatever your language level, there will be a suitable international course for you.
CAREERS & EMPLOYABILITY BENEFITS
Students are required to follow 5-6 modules offered by the host international university. You’ll choose these modules with the academic management team to ensure your study abroad experience furthers the specialist subject knowledge developed on your course at ICD in France, thus boosting your employability.

ICD HAS SIGNED THE ERASMUS + CHARTER AGREEMENT
In recognition of the quality of the international exchange programmes organised by ICD, we offer our students more than 100 ERASMUS grants each year for study abroad experiences as well as for international business placements. In addition, ICD receives 30 EGIDE mobility grants per year, awarded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT TRAVEL INSURANCE
All ICD students on a formal study abroad programme, language programme or international business placement are covered by Groupe IGS’ free basic travel insurance package offered by la MAIF and l’Inter Mutuelle Assistance (IMA). If this is not sufficient for your needs and the requirements of your host institution, Groupe IGS proposes a more comprehensive insurance scheme via our partner APRIL.
