ICD SUMMER session 2024

 

A taste of Paris through a two-week-programme in the heart of the capital.

ICD Business School presents our first ever Summer Session in June 2024 to students who wish to experience and discover Paris on our Paris Campus. Located in the capital city known for its dynamic way of life, students will find unequalled opportunities for multicultural exchanges and innovation here!

THE PROGRAMME

This two-week-programme gives you a taste of the romantic Paris, one of the most vibrant city around the world! Students can earn 3 ECTS through seminars and company visits related to different areas including Luxury Brand Management, Entrepreneurship, International Sales, Supply Chain Managmeent etc., and have the chance to get a taste of the French culture through French language and culture courses, activities and visits.

  • Taught entirely in English
  • 2 Guided Tour in outstanding cultural sites and museums (e.g. Le Louvre) in Paris
  • Cultural Exploration (e.g. City Tour / Wine & Cheese Tasting / French Cooking Experience)
  • Seminars & Workshops (20 hours + 10 hours of personal work)
  • French for Foreigners courses (10 hours)
  • Worth 3 ECTS

COURSE

Luxury Brand Management

Seminars and workshops introduce principles of luxury marketing and the evolution of the luxury experience in an international context of business development for luxury brands. Visits and testimonies will highlight the new opportunities in distribution channels for luxury brands.

Entrepreneurship

Seminars and workshops introduce principles of various aspects (depending on the track), such as Finance, Strategy, Branding, Marketing and Design thinking, within the context of entrepreneurship.

Supply Chain Management

To introduce students to the issues and operations of the supply chain. Furthermore, it helps to understand the different stages and dimensions (raw material procurement, production, distribution and delivery) and to understand current challenges and trends (globalization, digitalization, sustainability and risk management).

International Sales Management

Through a combination of theory, practical exercises, and real-world case studies, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the strategies and techniques essential for managing international sales successfully.

ASSESSMENT

Continuous assessment and final exam at the end of the summer session.

PREREQUISITES

  • At least 18 years old
  • Interested candidates must have completed 1 year of undergraduate level education
  • Students must reach at least TOEFL B2 level or equivalent – to be confirmed by home institution
