Coventry University: An international semester with ICD Business School

In the framework of a partnership with Coventry University, our students from Paris and Toulouse, in their first year of the Grande École Program, had the opportunity to spend several months in England in order to discover the Anglo-Saxon culture and education. Before our students return to France on April 22nd, the Coventry team prepared a special day to celebrate the end of this international semester. Let's relive these moments together.

For this last day, our icedians started the morning by finalizing their presentation for a project that they later presented in front of a jury. As a reward for all their efforts, the Coventry team treated them to a wonderful closing ceremony in a local bar!

Last Integrated Marketing Communication course

What is Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC)*? This is the question that our students had to answer during their trip to England. To answer this question, they compared and analyzed the IMC actions of a French company and an English company of their choice. To do so, Coventry University asked for a poster presentation. Here are several criteria selected by the students:

  • The history of the brands
  • Market and competition analysis
  • Social media analysis
  • Vision, mission and values
  • Structural organization
  • Advantages and disadvantages

The objective of this last morning of class was to finalize the details for the oral presentation. As this project was an individual presentation, our students had the chance to receive precise and personalized feedback from their professor. Once the class was over, it was time for the presentations!

Presentation of the projects

After a well-deserved lunch break, the students were welcomed by the jury in a large room where their posters were displayed next to each other. The jury was composed of members of the pedagogical and international team of Coventry University and the ICD Business School. However, the grading was made by the hosts. The Parisian and Toulousian coaches provided valuable advice and feedback on the presentations.

At the time of the results, each member of the jury was given a precise grading grid with which they evaluated our students. This score was not revealed to the class. However, the students and jurors were able to vote for their favorite poster. In this exercise, Gokhan Malek, a first year student in the Grande Ecole Program at ICD Business School Paris, received the highest score! Following this, the Coventry team offered a nice closing ceremony to our icedians to congratulate them for this great work.

Closing ceremony

Drinks, food and a good atmosphere, everything was gathered to end this trip on a good note! It was an opportunity for the teams and our students to get together in a more festive atmosphere. The icedians did not fail to thank the Coventry teams for their welcome, kindness and advice over the past few months.
