The ICD Business School is committed to supporting its students throughout their lives but also to opening up different opportunities to manage and promote their careers, in particular by developing their professional network and increasing interactions within the community. In this interview, Matthieu Delaherche will talk about his new role and his objectives for the association, taking into account the values that define the IGS Group schools: humanism, entrepreneurship and professionalism.

Tell us about yourself

I am Matthieu DELAHERCHE, ICD alumni of the class of 2020 Programme Grande Ecole of the Paris campus and new president of the ICD ALUMNI association. Since my graduation as a student, I am in charge of Development and Communication at ISCPA, a school of the IGS Group.

What is your background as a former student of the ICD Business School?

I joined the ICD Business School in 2016 where I had the pleasure of spending five years between professional experiences, discovery of the international scene and participation in the associative life.

I was lucky enough during my career to do some very interesting internships in different fields. For example, product placement and promotion in the film industry at MARQUES & FILMS and affiliate marketing at Kwanko.

I was able to discover different cultures thanks to my international exchanges in Dublin and a semester in Groningen in the Netherlands. These are unforgettable experiences that allow me to meet people from different backgrounds with a different vision of life and business.

Lastly, community life has been the rhythm of my studies, with the Student Union (BDE) of the ICD Business School on the Paris campus. In the last year of the Grande Ecole programme, I was involved in the Bureau Des Associations of the IGS Group. Two very nice experiences that allowed me to work in a team, to do management and to better manage various problems during a project management.

Multiple experiences that allowed me to discover myself, to develop my skills and to build my professional project.

What is the role of the ICD Alumni Association?

The ICD Alumni Association's mission is to federate, support and develop the network of alumni of the ICD Business School.

We federate students from the moment they enter the ICD Business School, until their exit and their entry into the professional world through the organization of various events throughout the life of an alumni.

We support students in the creation of their professional network. We put them in touch with alumni for internships or work placements and conversely with alumni looking for new talent. Finally, to conclude this support section, we participate with the help of the Corporate Relations Department in supporting new alumni in their first job.

Together with the alumni, we develop a link with their companies by setting up, for example, educational projects integrated into the students' curriculum. The objective is to participate in the influence of the school in companies.

Tell us about your project as the new president of the ICD Alumni Association.

The project of the new ICD Alumni team is to revitalize the association after two years where groupings were forbidden. We want to meet the alumni of the ICD Business School through friendly events, meet current students at MasterClass and at key moments of the year, such as the beginning of the school year. We would like to organise professional exchanges on specific subjects of expertise in order to share with alumni the trends that may emerge on these subjects.

What message would you like to pass on to the alumni community?

ICD alumni, we need you to make the ICD Business School shine beyond the walls of the campus. The entire ICD Alumni team, and myself in particular, are at your disposal to discuss with you. We expect many of you for the first event that we will organize very soon. Stay tuned!
