ACTIVE & EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING METHODS
STUDENT-CENTRED ACTIVITIES BASED ON REAL-LIFE BUSINESS PROJECTS
Throughout their courses, students are able to put into practice what they have learnt in the classroom thanks to opportunities to carry out a range of individual or group activities based on real-life business projects, including: missions assigned by partner companies, the organisation of internal or external events, business start-ups, business games, and much more in addition.
All projects are supervised by our teaching staff, who encourage students to apply their skills and channel their energy in the most effective way.
INNOVATIVE PEDAGOGICAL APPROACHES
- Public speaking competition: students on the second year of the Grande Ecole programme take part in a debate on a given topic judged by a panel of experts and business professionals.
- Collective books written by students.
- The promotion of the know-how and work of our students in the Press.
DIGITAL LEARNING TOOLS
ICD MEDIA-BASED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
This platform allows students to access digital learning material (on-line courses, text and multi-media resources …) and learning activities (multiple-choice activities, submission of written work, blogs, forums, wikis …) related to their courses, projects and dissertations. Via the network, the platform encourages interactions between teaching staff, students and teaching resources.
BEECOME, ICD ADMINISTRATIVE & LEARNING WEB PORTAL
Designed as an ‘open book’ for both students and academic staff, BEECOME is our E-campus, where users can find course material, timetables and a range of information that is useful in everyday school life. The resource is made available to students immediately upon enrollment.
ROSETTA STONE
Rosetta Stone is regarded as one of the best foreign language on-line learning solutions in the world, and can be entirely customized according to the level of each student. As a supplement to their foreign language classes, all students are offered an access to the software to help them work on areas of improvement and to reinforce their grammatical skills, structures and vocabulary.
PROJET VOLTAIRE
At ICD, we are fully aware of the importance for our students as future business managers to be able to master the written French language in order to be effective communicators in a range of business situations. We have therefore decided to integrate ‘Projet Voltaire’ into all of our programmes of study. As a new digital solution, it is one-of-a-kind, allowing in record time and in an amusing way each user to memorise and assimilate the grammar and spelling rules they find the most challenging.
