A student from ICD Business School wins the competition
The Groupe IGENSIA Education Business Pitch took place from January 29 to 31, bringing together 1,500 students from various fields of the group. This large-scale challenge, organized in partnership with AXA, allowed participants to develop innovative solutions to address a strategic issue for the insurer. Among the many talents competing, it was a team from the Toulouse campus, led by Marc Selsis, an ICD Business School Toulouse student, that stood out.

Meet Marc, the Business Pitch Winner
We interviewed Marc Selsis, a student in the Master's in Manager of Marketing and Customer Relations for Banking and an intern at Crédit Agricole Nord Midi-Pyrénées as a Sales Associate. Winner of the Business Pitch, Marc reflects on this memorable experience and shares his thoughts. 👇
1️⃣ Congratulations Marc on this victory! How do you feel after your success?
"Thank you! We didn’t expect it at all, so we’re pretty happy. Our initial project didn’t give us that impression, but in the end, we’re really glad to have won."
2️⃣ In a few words, what idea did you pitch?
"We proposed creating an AXA branch called AXA Youth, dedicated to young people. The goal was to become the number one insurance provider for this target audience to attract them to the company’s sectors and make them want to work there. We also planned extensive communication on social media to capture their attention."
3️⃣ How did you experience the three days of competition? Any memorable moments to share?
"At first, we didn’t really know where we were going, and there were many unknowns. But in the end, everything went well, especially thanks to the great team dynamic. The most memorable moment was when we learned we had made it to the finals: it was a great surprise!"
4️⃣ The competition brings together diverse profiles (business, finance, real estate). How did you experience this diversity within your team?
"It was an asset because everyone brought their ideas and expertise to different aspects of the project. This complementarity allowed us to create a stronger and more structured response to the challenge."
5️⃣ What did this experience bring to your Master's in Banking?
"Mainly public speaking and argumentation skills. Being able to defend a project, convince an audience, and work efficiently in a team are key assets for our future careers."
6️⃣ A word for future participants?
"I would advise them to approach the competition in a relaxed way, integrate well with their team, not hesitate to talk to coaches, and most importantly, have fun in this stimulating exercise."
