Victory for ICD Business School at the UNIMEV Student Challenge

UNIMEV: a national challenge supporting professional development

Each year, the UNIMEV Student Challenges bring together member companies and partner schools around a shared objective: exposing future event professionals to real industry challenges. Working in teams, students take on the role of an agency and develop concrete, creative and actionable recommendations based on a brief provided by a company. After several selection rounds, finalist teams present their projects during a final event before a jury composed of industry professionals.

A strategic challenge focused on the International Paris Air Show

For this edition, the ICD Business School students worked on a brief proposed by the International Paris Air Show (SIAE). Their mission was to develop recommendations aimed at encouraging direct exhibitors as well as regional and national pavilions present in the exhibition halls to remain for the public weekend and to animate their stands in order to make them more attractive.

At the end of the final held in Paris, the jury awarded first place to the project presented by Léna Laude, Diane Guillemot and Alessia Daval, students enrolled in the Bachelor in Management Sciences, Event Management track at ICD Business School.

A professional experience at the heart of the programme

This challenge is fully integrated into the teaching approach of the Bachelor in Management Sciences, Event Management track at ICD Business School. Recognised by UNIMEV, this programme allows students to work on real-life cases and develop skills that are directly applicable in the event industry.

Taking part in this type of competition represents a unique opportunity for students: working on a concrete issue, presenting their recommendations to professionals and defending their project during a national final. It is a valuable learning experience that strengthens analytical thinking, creativity and public speaking skills while helping students project themselves into careers in the event industry.

A victory that reflects the ICD Business School teaching approach

The victory of the ICD Business School team in the 9th edition of the UNIMEV Student Challenge highlights the commitment and professionalism of its students. It also illustrates the importance of hands-on projects within the program, allowing students to develop their skills in real-life situations and interact directly with industry stakeholders.

A meaningful experience that reflects ICD Business School’s ambition: to train professionals capable of understanding and supporting the evolution of the event industry.
