A Week of Experiences and Networking for Our Students
Each year, ICD Business School organizes Business Week, a key event for our MBA Commerce and Marketing students. Over four days, they have the opportunity to dive into the corporate world through immersive visits, conferences, and meetings with renowned professionals. This year’s edition allowed students to explore various sectors, from luxury to retail, media, and hospitality.

The program included:
- Tuesday: An immersion into the media industry with a behind-the-scenes tour of Groupe M6, followed by an in-depth look at retail with Métro.
- Wednesday: A deep dive into the luxury industry with a visit to Burberry, complemented by an exclusive Orange conference. In the afternoon, they explored the high-end hospitality sector at Hôtel Plaza Athénée.
- Thursday: A focus on gastronomy and entrepreneurship with a visit to Alléno & Rivoire, followed by a meeting with the Nature & Découvertes teams.
- Friday: Closing Business Week with an immersion at Maison Breguet, a prestigious watchmaking company, and final project presentations.
A springboard to the professional world
Beyond simple visits, Business Week is a true hands-on learning experience for our students. By exploring different professional environments, they refine their understanding of business and marketing professions, develop their corporate culture, and expand their network. Engaging with professionals allows them to better grasp real-world challenges, gain valuable advice, and broaden their career perspectives.
An educational challenge to develop their skills
The week concluded with an educational challenge. Each student group had to choose one of the visited companies and analyze how it adapted to its competitive environment and customer expectations. Drawing on the knowledge acquired during the visits and interactions with professionals, they identified the strategies and solutions implemented by the company to stand out.
This work culminated in an assessed presentation, where each group showcased their analysis through a detailed presentation. This was an excellent exercise to develop their analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to propose strategic recommendations.
The importance of immersive events in education
In a professional world where technical skills must be complemented by soft skills and a strong network, events like Business Week play a crucial role. They allow students to step outside the academic framework, face recruiters’ expectations, and enhance their adaptability.
ICD Business School is committed to providing its students with concrete opportunities to strengthen their employability and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges in their future careers. A real-world immersion—essential for building their professional future with confidence and ambition.
