THE DATA AND IA CENTER OF EXPERTISE

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a set of techniques designed to give machines the ability to imitate human intelligence. This technology is becoming increasingly important and is used in many fields of application. AI allows companies, in particular, to improve their performance and productivity through the automation of repetitive and energy-consuming processes or tasks. Moreover, AI is capable of processing and analyzing company data in order to generate business benefits. ICD Business School tells you more about its Data and AI Center of Expertise!

IA APPLICATIONS IN BUSINESS AND MARKETING

Some statistics

The global Artificial Intelligence market is expected to reach $267 billion by 2027, according to Fortune Business Insights' 2020 forecast.
Statista estimated the global AI market at 17.3 billion in 2020, with a forecast of 86.5 billion in 2025.
The International Data Corporation (IDC), meanwhile, expects the global AI market to reach more than $500 billion by 2024.
While observations and estimates differ, they all agree on the same observation, namely the substantial development of the global AI market in the next few years. The global growth of AI is due to the diversity of its applications and its ability to improve as it works, thanks to Machine Learning.

In the fields of commerce and marketing, this technology is used in particular for predictive marketing, relationship marketing and advertising. AI is used to predict the rate of attrition and transformation, purchase intentions, traffic on a physical site, etc. It is used in customer segmentation for better targeting of personalized operations. It also enables market analysis and data mining with the objective of increasing the company's profits and revenues.

THE CHALLENGE OF TRAINING FUTURE MANAGERS

Future managers will potentially be required to supervise development projects or to manage operational processes for services based on Big Data and AI. The challenge is therefore to provide students with specific technical skills that will enable them to interact with experts in the field once they are in their jobs. These skills also have an ethical aspect, as they allow students to comply with legal obligations towards individuals, particularly in terms of confidentiality, non-discrimination, etc., and to adhere to a code of ethics governing these new technological uses.

The CEDIA, as the research center of the Data & AI department of the ICD Business School, aims mainly to develop and enhance the academic research conducted within it, through the organization of academic events (seminar, conferences....), among other initiatives. This research is also intended to enrich the courses designed to train students and to initiate applied research projects.

The ICD Business School relies on a faculty composed of research professors and professionals who are experts in their field and who contribute, through their publications, to the international influence of the school and the development of its teaching programs.
